Award winning clothes designer and quilter Philippa Naylor has created a series of on-line garment making classes
Philippa has been sewing for most of her life and was given her first sewing machine as a young teen. She spent four years training as a clothing designer at MMU, and following this became head designer for a large UK clothing manufacturer. Moving to Saudi Arabia she set up a bespoke evening wear and wedding dress business. In 1996 she found quilt making and since this date has made many award winning quilts and exhibition quality garments. Creating beautifully crafted clothes was where Philippa began her textile career and is where she continues to devote much of her creative energy
Philippa has applied her legendary precision and attention to detail to these classes. She teaches you how to alter your patterns for a great fit as well showing you the sewing techniques used by couture dress makers. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dress maker wanting to brush up your techniques, these classes are designed for you
The classes are all pre-recorded and are between 3 and 5 hours long. They are accessed by logging in to your on-line library. You can start anytime, continue at your own pace, and re-watch as often as you want to
